Share of Twitter users in Finland in 2015, by age group This statistic shows the results of a survey on the share of Twitter users in the Finland, by age group. According to the survey, 32 percent of the respondents aged 15 to 24 years stated that they used Twitter. This age group was also the largest to use Twitter out of all the age surveyed age groups. The next largest share was accounted for by the age group of 35 to 44 years as 18 percent of the respondents in this age range used Twitter. Respondents aged 25 to 34 years used Twitter one percent less. 12 percent of respondents in the age group of 45 to 54 years used Twitter while the age range of 55 to 64 years had one percent more Twitter users. The lowest share of Twitter users was in the age group of 65 to 74 year olds, amounting to a share of 6 percent. Twitter is a social media platform that is based on users interacting with messages limited to 140 characters. In Finland, Twitter has been mainly used for news and entertainment purposes. The frequency of Twitter usage in Finland also varies to some extent between users.
