Impact of social media on the everyday life of young people in Finland 2019

In 2019, 83 percent of respondents aged 13 to 29 years in Finland stated in a survey that social media services complement their real-life interactions. In addition, 45 percent of young people agreed that social media services bring added value and depth to real-life friendships. Over 30 percent of respondents said that they are more sociable on social media than in real life, and for almost 20 percent of respondents social media services substitute real-life communication.
