Sweden: reliability of food labels 2015

This statistic shows the results of a survey on the reliability of selected food labels in Sweden in 2015. During the period under survey, 70 percent of the respondents stated to think of KRAV as a reliable food label. KRAV is a domestic organic label and stands for an environmentally friendly food production in an ethically responsible manner. The label Svanen, also known as the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, is seen as reliable by 63 percent of the respondents. That label also requires a manufacturing process which has little impact on the climate. 58 percent of the respondents stated to see Fairtrade labeled products as reliable. Foreign labels like MSC or UTZ Certified enjoy a much lower trust by the Swedish customers.
