Consumer expenditure on entertainment in the U.S. 2017-2019, by segment

In the first quarter if 2019, 72.5 percent of consumer spending on home entertainment went towards pay TV. This marks only a slight increase from the figure recorded two years previously, however spending on other home video such as rentals, purchases, and SVOD services grew from a 15.9 percent share to 18.6 percent in the same time period.
