Japan: lacto ice cream sales value

The sales value of lacto ice cream in Japan amounted to around 180.7 billion Japanese yen in fiscal 2022, recording a decade-high. Lacto ice cream refers to ice cream products with milk-solids content of three percent or greater. Unlike products labeled as 'ice cream', lacto ice can contain vegetable oil as a substitute for milk fat.
