Use of social networks: digital gender divide in Spain 2013-2016 This statistic presents the evolution of the digital gender divide in Spain regarding the participation in the social networks from 2013 to 2016. The use of social media in Spain showed a development opposed to most ICT technologies, since women are the main users of this type of services. Thus, for example, the percentage of female internet users who carried out some action on social networks during 2016 was almost seven percentage points higher than the male percentage.
