Since Apple's macOS Catalina (10.15) was released in October 2019, it did not take long until it became the most used version of macOS. In January 2023, macOS Catalina commanded am 87.44 percent share worldwide. Note that the source has indicated the fact that Apple has been reporting Big Sur 11 as Catalina 10.15, making its reported market share incorrectly high.
