Mexico: sales value of tequila 2015-2022

Sales of tequila produced in Mexico attained a value of more than 48 billion Mexican pesos as per August 2022, including sales to the domestic and foreign markets. In 2021, the most sold category of tequila was white tequila (tequila blanco, in Spanish), accounting for over 48 percent of the total sales value. Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the agave plant, and is one of the most traditional alcoholic beverages in Mexico.
