Reasons why French women wear less makeup 2020

Natural beauty looks and "no-makeup" pictures have been trending on social media already for some years. Prominent celebrities such as Kim Kardashian or Alicia Keys have taken part in this phaenomenon. However, social media does not seem to be women's main reason to quit wearing makeup. In 2020, only eight percent of French women who were wearing less or no makeup said seeing pictures of barefaced celebrities on social media influenced their decision. Conversely, half of them declared that they were trying to improve the quality of their skin.
