During 2020's holiday season, many consumers in the United States will be cutting it close in terms of holiday shopping: over half of U.S. consumers stated they will not be wrapping up their holiday shopping until mid-December. Roughly 15 percent of shoppers claimed they would not be done until the very last minute, namely December 24. Only about 20 percent had purchased everything they needed before Thanksgiving.
