The leading impression of traditional Japanese food (washoku) was that the meals were healthy, according to a survey conducted in November 2022 in Japan. While almost 84 percent of respondents considered the healthy factor a major part of traditional Japanese cuisine, the seasonal aspect left a lasting impression as well.
