Malaysia: changes in in-store shopping spend due to COVID-19 by gender 2021

In a survey on shopping behavior in Malaysia conducted by Rakuten Insight, 41 percent of respondents from both genders stated that they now spent less per purchase from a physical store and shopped less often than before the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, six percent of respondents from both genders stated that they shopped more frequently and spend more per purchase due to COVID-19.
