U.S. adults social media profile identity verification by age group 2022

A survey conducted in January 2022 in the United States found that 43 percent of 18 to 34 year olds strongly supported identity verification to create a social media profile, whereas six percent of respondents in this age group strong opposed. Additionally, over 60 percent of respondents aged 65 and over strongly supported identity verification to create a social networking profile, as did 57 percent of those aged 45 to 64 years.
