Global rating of top iOS apps by category 2022

As of February 2022, global users gave on average close to four stars to the leading 10 health and fitness apps recommended in the Apple App Store. The health and fitness app ranking at the very top of the store's result page reported an average of 3.58 stars rating, while the gaming app occupying the same position was rated with an average of 3.52 stars by iOS users. By comparison, food and drink apps occupying the first 10 positions in the Apple App Store results page had a lower average rating, less than three stars. The highest-ranking shopping apps saw an average rating of 3.27 stars, while apps in this category occupying the ninth and tenth positions had an average rating of around 3.31.
