The total value of loans and advances to households granted by banks in the European Union is expected to have a higher growth rate than business loans in 2023. Loans and advances to non-financial corporations are estimated to have reached a growth rate of 3.6 percent in 2023, while the projected growth of household lending that year was 2.6 percent. By 2024, loans to households in the EU are expected to reach nearly 6.8 trillion euros.
