Growth rate forecast of total loans and advances in the EU 2021-2023, by type
The total value of loans and advances to households granted by banks in the European Union is expected to pick up the pace by 2023, reaching a higher growth rate than business loans. Loans and advances to non-financial corporations are estimated to have reached a growth rate of 4.38 percent in 2021, while the projected figure for household lending that year was 3.05 percent. By 2023, loans to households in the EU are expected to reach nearly 6.4 trillion euros.
