Value of loans to financial corporations in the euro area 2022, by country
France was the country in the Eurozone with the highest volume of outstanding loans to financial corporations, amounting to over 342 billion euros as of April 2022. These loans were worth between 170 and 240 billion euros in the following countries in the list: Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Luxembourg had 60.7 billion euros worth of loans to financial corporations, a relatively high level of loans for a country of that size. The value of loans to non-financial corporations in the Eurozone has a similar distribution.
