Consumer loan interest rates in the euro area 2021-2022, by maturity
As of April 2022, consumer loans with a floating rate and a short-term maturity date of up to one year had the highest interest rate at 5.76 percent. In contrast, the consumer loans with the lowest interest rate were those with with collateral or guarantees and a floating rate and a maturity date of up to one year, amounting to 2.79 percent. Meanwhile, Germany had one of the highest volumes of consumer loans in the euro area in 2021.
