Consumer loans in selected Eurozone countries 2021, by type
In 2021, within this ranking of 18 Eurozone members, Germany was by far the country with the highest volume of consumer loans. The country's new and renegotiated loans amounted to approximately 117 billion euros. Meanwhile, there were also high volumes of consumer credit granted in France, Italy, and Spain. However, when considering the volume of consumer loans per capita, Finland and Luxembourg were also quite high on the list.
