At the same time 26 percent of advertising expenditures was devoted to this medium, which presents an additional three-percent profit opportunity. Mobile advertising spending is forecast to more than double between 2016 and 2021 from 32.64 billion U.S. dollars to over 72 billion U.S. dollars. Some of the biggest spending growth will be seen in native/social advertising, which is expected to reach more than 24 billion U.S. dollars in 2021 and a further five billion U.S. dollars will be spent on messaging advertising.
