This statistic shows the perception of the euro currency among men and women of the eurozone countries (euro area) as of October 2018. Overall, 67 percent of male respondents, and 60 percent of female respondents, reported that the euro was a good thing for their countries.

As of October 2015, the euro is the official currency of 19 Member States of the EU: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. These countries are collectively known as the euro area.
Percentages do not add to 100 percent. Other answers given but not displayed include 'Can't decide' and 'Don't know'.
