This statistic displays the results of a survey on daily media usage in Sweden in 2016. The most used medium was the internet with 83 percent of the individuals interviewed. Particularly men tended to use online media. Viewing television and listening to the radio ranked second with a share of 81 percent and third with a share of 68 percent of the respondents.
During the mentioned year, Swedes spent on average 340 minutes per day consuming media. This value decreased slightly in the past years. In 2007, the average daily time spent with media amounted to 365 minutes. Particularly the traditional media television and radio were used the most in Sweden. Both accounted for almost 50 percent of the total time spent using media in 2016. But online and digital were on the rise - for example the social media consumption increased by 3 percent in the Nordic country from 2015 to 2016.
