Daily media usage in Sweden 2017, by medium This statistic displays the results of a survey on daily media usage in Sweden in 2017. The most used medium was television with 81 percent of the individuals interviewed. Particularly men tended to use TV. Listening to the radio an reading newspapers ranked second with a share of 62 percent and third with a share of 56 percent of the respondents. During the mentioned year, Swedes spent on average 359 minutes per day consuming media. This value decreased slightly in the past years. In 2007, the average daily time spent with media amounted to 365 minutes. Particularly the traditional media television and radio were used the most in Sweden. Both accounted for almost 40 percent of the total time spent using media in 2017. But online and digital were on the rise - for example the online TV consumption increased by 1 percent in the Nordic country from 2016 to 2017.
