Number of online shoppers in India 2017-2025 by city type

The number of online shoppers was estimated to go up from 75 million in 2017 to over 220 million in 2025. Most of these came from tier two and lower cities. This was probably the result of lower service costs and the expansion of the ecommerce market to include non-metro, semi-urban and rural areas of the country.
