With a mint LP priced somewhere between $15 and $25, collecting vinyl indeed is an expensive hobby. But the expenses of a casual vinyl collector are nothing in comparison to the money serious vinylheads have to spend to expand their collection. As this chart shows, the five most expensive records ever sold could each buy you some real estate. Even though five of the ten highest valued LPs are from the Beatles, the Brooklyn-based Wu-Tang Clan once more showed their everlasting influence on music culture. Their conceptual 1-in-1 album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin sold for $2 million, more than the combined worth of the other nine records on the list.
