As wide-ranging work from home and shelter in place practices are being rolled out throughout communities in the United States, many adults have to deal with completely and often overwhelming situations. There are a multitude of situations that have lead Americans to watch more online instructional videos in order to solve problems that arise during this new normal. During a March 2020 survey, 22 percent of U.S. respondents stated that they had watched more online instructional videos due to social distancing and self-quarantining practices.
