U.S. household internet download speed 2020

A June 2020 survey revealed that 42 percent of adults in the United States did not know the download speed of their household internet service. In total, 28 percent of U.S. adults reported that their household internet had a download speed of 100 Mbps or higher. The need for widely available high speed internet became even more pressing during the global coronavirus pandemic when a significant share of businesses had their employees working from home.
