Sense of security from panic buying during coronavirus in Hong Kong 2020
According to a survey on consumer behavior during coronavirus outbreak conducted by Rakuten Insight in April 2020, panic buying was not common in Hong Kong. Almost 91 percent of the respondents from Hong Kong who had stocked up on groceries said that they felt safe after stockpiling. The same survey found that about 12.2 percent of panic buying in the city happened on e-commerce platforms.
