In week 11 (March 9 to 15) of 2020, foot traffic in Walmart Neighborhood Market stores was up by 46.5 percent when compared to the equivalent period in 2019. As of March, 2020, 28 percent of Americans reported that they were stockpiling food because of the coronavirus.
