Change in ticket sales at performing arts venues in North America 2020, by month
Performing arts venues in North America were negatively affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020. Following the closure of venues to the public and social distancing measures, ticket sales showed a decline of over 50 percent from March 2020 onwards. The month of August showed the highest decline compared to the previous year with a drop in ticket sales of 92.2 percent.
