Peru: purchasing channels substituted by the use of WhatsApp 2020

When asked about the purchase channels they had changed for the use of WhatsApp as an e-commerce tool, 44 percent of respondents said they had either reduced or replaced face-to-face purchases in favor of the app. In addition, 28 percent of WhatsApp users surveyed in the South American country stated switching social media purchases to the use of the messaging app.
