Grocery products sold online in France 2020, by type of shopping mode
Already a pioneer on the Drive in the early 2010s, France is seeing the development of this new distribution method, the pedestrian Drive, which, beyond a simple online circuit, is muddying the waters by competing head-on with store in city centers in general. However, the analysis of the baskets in these different online circuits highlight the similarities between “car” Drive and pedestrian Drive. While hygiene-beauty and paper products categories weighed a lot for home delivery, Drive and pedestrian Drive stood out clearly in everyday categories such as fresh dairy or sweet groceries.
