Younger pet owners were more likely to have reduced spending on their pets in the United States in 2021 due to COVID-19. Almost two-thirds of survey respondents aged between 18 and 34 stated they had reduced their pet spending throughout the pandemic compared to 12 percent of respondents aged 65 or over.
