Awareness of organic certifications in Japan 2021
The majority of Japanese consumers were aware of the Japanese Agricultural Standards for organic foods as revealed in a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in September 2021. Around 72 percent of respondents knew the domestic certification for organic foods, whereas the EU-certified organic food label was the best known overseas certification.
