
Favorite platforms for online shopping videos in the U.S. 2022, by generation
Across all generations of U.S. consumers, social media was the preferred platform for watching online video shopping events. Though the difference is marginal between generations, this survey suggests that Gen X consumers favored social media more than any other group (68 percent of respondents). Boomers preferred other platforms more than any other group, but it is important to note that over half (56 percent) still favored social media.
