As of 2022, 16 percent of companies in South Africa confirmed their social media effectiveness on WhatsApp to be very effective, with 13 as well as 14 percent confirming their advertising on WhatsApp to be quite effective and some effective respectively. Observing the trend since 2019, companies seem to reflect a somehow effective social media presence on WhatsApp.
