During the third quarter of 2023, YouTube removed over 10 million channels, the majority of which were due to spam, misleading content, and scams. Channels are removed from YouTube after three violations of the platform's community guidelines. The number of channels removed due to nudity or sexual channels corresponded to four percent of the total, while the channels removed due to misinformation explicit content represented 1.7 percent of the total in the examined period.
