Key single-cup coffee brands in the U.S. based on sales 2022

In 2022, Keurig Green Mountain dominated the U.S. single-cup coffee market, with total sales amounting to over 1.2 billion U.S. dollars. Reaching almost 1.1 billion U.S. dollars, private label was the brand with the second-highest sales numbers that year.

Single-cup coffee brewing systems

In 2020, 40 percent of U.S. consumers had a single-cup coffee brewing system in their household. The number of system owners has increased considerably over the last decade: in 2012, for example, only ten percent of consumers in the United States had a single-cup brewing system at home.

Coffee shop industry

The number of coffeehouse stores in the United States, stood at about 38,411 in 2022. This was an increase compared to the previous year. 2021’s leading coffee houses and café chains in the United States (in terms of sales) were Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Dutch Bros. Coffee, respectively. Starbucks Corporation accounted for sales numbers of approximately 24.56 billion U.S. dollars that year.
