This statistic displays the findings of a survey on the main social networking site of social media users in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2016, broken down by age groups. During the survey wave in November and December 2016, it was reported that the most often used and thus considered as the main account across all aged groups was Facebook, ranging from a share of 67 percent or respondents among those aged 16 to 24 years to 84 percent among 35 to 44 year olds. Compared with Facebook all other sites had only a fraction of respondents name them as their main account. Snapchat was only named as a main social media account among the youngest age group.
