Breadth of internet usage in the UK 2022, by socio-economic group
A 2022 survey among internet users in the United Kingdom (UK) found that 32 percent of the respondents of the socio-economic group C1 (lower middle class) were among "broad" internet users, meaning they carried out nine to 13 types of internet activities. Among the users in group E (non-working), 15 percent identified themselves with "narrow' usage. Those were users who usually performed one to four online activities.
