This statistic shows the results of a survey on the share of the population which used social media in Denmark in 2016, broken down by age group. The highest social media penetration rate was seen among the youngest age groups. 97 percent of people aged from 16 to 24 years have used social media that year in Denmark. 25 to 34 year olds were behind by 6 percent with 91 percent of users. In total, 74 percent of the Danish population has used social media in 2016. Engaging on social media was a daily routine for 44 percent of social media users in Denmark in 2015. The most popular social media site in Denmark was Facebook with 67 percent of users in 2016.
