Importance of selected media for common knowledge in Finland 2016-2017 This statistic shows the answers to a survey for the most important media for common knowledge in Finland from 2016 to 2017. The importance of printed newspapers increased from 79 percent to 83 percent over the shown period. In 2017, 80 percent of respondents considered public television channels important for general knowledge, followed by public radio at 62 percent. In comparison, 29 percent thought Wikipedia was important for basic knowledge, and nine percent considered Facebook a meaningful source of general information.
