Share of social media platforms used for following news in Finland 2019, by age group

In 2019, around 30 percent of all respondents used Facebook for searching, reading, watching, sharing or discussing news in Finland. Female respondents used Facebook for following news more often than male respondents. However, the second most popular platform Youtube was more commonly used by male respondents. Other commonly used social media platforms among both male and female respondents included WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram.
