According to the 2020 survey, the most popular way to discuss and share news among Finnish respondents was face-to-face conversations with friends or colleagues. As opposed to face-to-face talks, 19 percent discussed news via instant messaging, e-mail and on social media. Other common ways to react to news included the usage of social media to share, comment, review, or like news articles.
