In the United States, the combined annual spending related to external vendors and consultants (including products and services) fluctuated between 2012 and 2022. In 2022, the combined spending on outside products and services in the training industry reached a value of approximately eight billion U.S. dollars - equaling roughly the same amount as the previous year. Combined annual spending reached its peak value in 2018, when it amounted to 11 billion U.S. dollars.
