Transplants in Mexico 2022, by organ
In 2022, a total of 3,061 cornea transplants were performed in Mexico. Kidney interventions followed, reaching 2,712 procedures that year. Meanwhile, the heart was the least transplanted organ in the Latin American country, with 42 transplants recorded as of 2022. During that time, the kidney was the organ with the highest number of patients on transplant waiting list in Mexico.
