Patients on transplant waiting lists in Colombia 2021, by organ
As of June 2021, there were a total of 3,098 patients on a waiting list for an organ transplant in Colombia. Approximately 90 percent of those patients were waiting for a kidney intervention. In the first half of 2021, the country performed 393 organ transplants, of which nearly 16 percent were done at Fundación Valle del Lili, making it Colombia's leading hospital for organ transplants by that time.
