A survey by Vase.ai on Malaysian online shopping behavior in 2020 found that 43 percent of respondents shopped for clothing during the 11.11 sale period. It is also known as Singles Day, a term popularized by Chinese e-commerce retailers. Other popular items during this sale period were fashion accessories at 32 percent. Some popular e-commerce sites in Malaysia were Lazada and Shopee.
