Type of YouTube content watched in Italy 2019, by gender
What type of content do Italians watch the most on YouTube? A survey conducted in March/April 2019 revealed that the most popular content was music videos, with 73 percent of the respondents citing it. There were some differences influenced by gender as well. Women would contribute to the high total percentage of music videos watchers with 78 percent, compared to 69 percent of male. Women would also be more keen to follow influencers/youtubers channels (40 percent) and watch tutorials (65 percent) than men (30 and 50 percent respectively). An higher percentage of men (19, compared to women´s 13), on the other hand, tended to watch live streams.
