Finland: share of people who downloaded the covid app 2020

As of September 2020, over two million people had downloaded the COVID-19 contact tracing app "Koronavilkku" in Finland. According to a survey, roughly 60 percent of Finns under the age of 50 had downloaded the coronavirus app. The corresponding figure was 40 percent in the age group of 65 to 79 years. When asked about reasons to download the mobile app, most respondents stated social pressure or civic responsibility to do so.
