U.S. consumers: leading social media presence of travel services 2021, by urbanity
A 2021 survey conducted in the United States found that 37 percent of respondents living in urban areas chose Booking.com as the travel accommodation service with the leading social media presence. Overall, 27 percent of those living in rural areas felt the same. Furthermore, almost a quarter of respondents living in rural places said that Airbnb was the leading short-term accommodation service in terms of its online presence. Seven percent from both urbanities selected Homestay.com as having the best social media presence.
