UK consumers' opinions on brands speaking out about the Qatar World Cup 2022
Around 49 percent of consumers in the United Kingdom reported they would have more respect for brands speaking out about the World Cup in Qatar, according to the survey conducted in November 2022. Controversies, including allegations of bribery, corruption, and human rights abuses, have been surrounding the tournament. Among UK consumers, over 60 percent of those aged between 18 and 34 years stated brands would gain more of their respect by taking a stand against the Qatar World Cup. More than 50 percent of male and 47 percent of female respondents shared this opinion.
